Susan Bogus
Dr. Susan Bogus is the AGC Endowed Chair Professor of Construction Engineering and Management at UNM. She has 30 years of experience in industry and academics. Dr. Bogus teaches and researches in the area of construction engineering and asset management. Her research focuses on the integration of design and construction to reduce project delivery time, improve sustainability, and increase infrastructure resilience. Dr. Bogus has served as an associate director of the Transportation Consortium of South-Central States (Tran-SET), a Region 6 University Transportation Center (UTC) and as director of the New Mexico Local Technical Assistance Program. She has conducted survey research to compare performance of design-bid-build and DB projects, to identify risks in concurrent project delivery, and for identifying key resilience criteria for project delivery processes. Dr. Bogus is a past member of two standing committees for the TRB: the Standing Technical Committee on Integrated Management of Construction and the Standing Technical Committee on Construction Delivery Methods and Processes. Prior to joining UNM, she worked for 10 years at CH2M HILL (now Jacobs) as a project engineer and project manager in Virginia, Wisconsin, and Georgia.
