Lisa L. Losada-Rojas is an Assistant Professor at the Gerald May Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at the University of New Mexico. She was previously a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto St. George Campus in Canada. She completed her BS in Civil Engineering at Universidad Nacional de Colombia and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at Purdue University, with a concentration in Transportation. Her current research, supported by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), the New Mexico DOT, the University Transportation Center system, and private foundations, focuses on developing transportation solutions that promote community health through behavioral changes. She is currently the Assistant Director of the Center for Pedestrian and Bicyclist Safety (CPBS) and a member of the TRB Standing Committee on the Implications of Transportation Choices and Access on Public Health (AQC14).
