Kim Johnson
Kim Johnson serves as the Senior Project Coordinator and Tribal Outreach Specialist for the Southern Plains Transportation Center at the University of Oklahoma. In this role, she supports transportation initiatives and works closely with tribal and local agencies to assist in improving roadway systems throughout the region.
Prior to this position, Kim served as the Oklahoma Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) Manager and Southern Tribal Technical Assistance Program (TTAP) Center Director. Before her work in Oklahoma, she was involved with the Texas Local Technical Assistance Program (TxLTAP) and the former National TTAP Center as a subject matter expert.
Throughout her career, Kim has focused on providing transportation training and technical assistance to road agencies, helping them preserve, maintain, and enhance local roadway systems.
Before entering the transportation field, Kim earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Education and spent more than 15 years working in both K–12 and higher education.
Kim remains committed to supporting transportation professionals and road agencies across the region.
